Tom Caris is manager business development at the Coolrec Group, a company recycling WEEE and WEEE plastics in the Netherlands, Belgium and France.  He started in 2011 as technical project manager, later project manager. He is responsible for research and development in the group.  He has, and still is, participating in several EU funded research projects. 

He monitors regulatory and standardisation changes actively.  And he represents the company on national and international fora, like recyclers federations, but also e.g. Cenelec TC111x and the Weeelabex advisory committee. Before Coolrec he has 4 years’ experience as production manager at a production facility for pressure vessels, and 5 years’ experience as process manager at a production facility for cereal and grass seeds and mixtures of chemical fertiliser. He has a master in Industrial Engineering (electromechanical) and a postgraduate in Industrial Management.
